ABOUT CAROLYN RANKIN
Carolyn has spent her entire career helping children with learning disabilities succeed. Carolyn received her Bachelors of Arts from McMaster University (2006). Subsequently, she focused on Special Education at Trent University where she received her Bachelor of Education (2007).
At a private school for children with unique learning needs and learning disabilities in Burlington, Ontario, Carolyn taught Grades 6-9. It was here that she developed a reading and writing program that the school adopted for all Grade levels. Her math program was made to help Grade 8 students transition to Grade 9 with success.
Rankin Educational Services started with just one family and grew through word of mouth. For 12 years Carolyn has been creating plans and helping students as the Head Tutor for her own company.
Currently, she leads her team of experienced teachers and designs plans that help children accomplish more than anticipated. She also volunteers as an Educational Consultant for Neighbour to Neighbour overseeing both their Reading program for children Grades 2-4 and Math program for children in Grades 7-8.
Carolyn is an advocate for people living with learning disabilities. She donates her time to various charities helping them modify the messaging and resources to include people with learning disabilities. By developing relationships with other professionals, teachers, and school boards, Carolyn is able to help her clients navigate the education system.
